The Longfellow Towers act as home and residence to many of the city’s urban professionals and families. The existing on-deck auto court pedestrian colonnade, lobby and retail entrances, and mezzanine-level exterior pool spaces were dated and in extreme disrepair. These conditions, coupled with multiple existing material and waterproofing failures, gave the project team the opportunity to provide the client with a vision for greatly enhancing the resident’s and visitor’s ground- and mezzanine-level experience, while designing the major upgrades to the podium façade.

The transformation succeeds in creating a true urban oasis for the users of the space, providing unique and identifiable pedestrian-level spaces as well as graphically contextual overhead views of the property for all of the inhabitants of the towers and adjacent structures.
